My First Class Presentation

Logan's second grade class studied important Americans this past quarter. They were each assigned a famous American from History and asked to write a "Who am I" report to present to the class and parents. Can you guess who Logan chose?

I was born in 1706.
I was born in Boston.
I help make candles and soap with my dad.
My brother James owned a printing press. I helped print newspapers in 1718.
I did not enjoy making candles and soap with my dad.
I wrote for a newspaper and people liked reading it.
I made schools and libraries and help to make a community.
I helped the American colonies make laws.
I traveled to London to speak to the King. The King did not agree.
I helped write the Constitution in the year 1787.
I am remembered for making my inventions and ideas.
I changed people's lives for many good reasons.
I died in 1787.
Who am I?

Did you guess it?
Benjamin Franklin
