A few days before his birthday, he was expressing concerns about not getting any presents for his birthday (probably resulting from the party invite confusion). Anyway, he told me that he may not get any presents for his birthday. He said that Logan was probably only going to give him a "woodgie". I of course asked him, "What is a woodgie?" He said that it is when someone grabs the back of your underwear and pulls it up into your bum. I really couldn't stop laughing at the fact that he thought his only present on his birthday was going to be a wedgie from his brother.
The night before his birthday, I was tucking him in at night. I told him that I was a little bit sad. He asked why and I told him because this is the last day I have my little four year old. He looked a little bit concerned, but lay down to go to bed. A few minutes later, I heard him crying in bed. When I came upstairs to check on him, through tears he said he wanted to be four longer. Logan and I had to reassure him that being 5 will be great and he finally fell asleep.
When Dallin woke up the morning of his birthday, he was so excited to be surrounded by birthday balloons. He also got a birthday donut for breakfast!
All day long, Dallin didn't miss an opportunity to tell everyone that he is 5 now!
